I promised myself that I would self publish my first book before I turned 40. I missed that deadline but about 18 months, but I’m proud that I didn’t give up on my dream. I have over twenty five books in various stages but I finally finished the manuscript for “Tell Me Something” and then the real journey began.

There are a lot of books out there on self-publishing, so I won’t bore you with the details. The only thing I will say is that it is a lot like having your first child. You GOOGLE a lot of stuff…you ask for help, you struggle and you are exhausted by the process…BUT at the same time you are learning and your second book should be a whole lot easier! (hopefully)

So here is to all of the self published authors who in my case work full time, have small kids and still have to get their characters out of their head and onto paper. My dream of publishing may be 18 years in the making…but it’s about to be reality!!
