Would you like me to show you something? How about the cover for Show Me Something?
That’s right Juliette and Mark’s story is coming soon!

I’ve lived in the Virginia area for 20 years..it’s crazy because 1) I don’t feel that old to say I’ve done anything as an adult for 20 years and 2) because I never intended to stay out here. But after being in the military, it was an easy place to transition into civilian life. Then came a job in which I’ve now been in for the last 14 years…but I always missed the west coast. Missed being closer to family. So I started my search and low and behold I now have an opportunity in Los Angeles. Now I will come out and say that it wasn’t my first choice. Namely because I live outside of a large city now and wanted something a little slower pace like Portland or Seattle, but the job couldn’t be passed up. So LA it is at the end of the summer. Guess you could say I’m a coastal girl…
I’m excited, nervous and overwhelmed, but I’m also looking forward to this next chapter of sunshine, beaches and palm trees. So cheers to new adventures and to hopefully getting book 5 done in the next few weeks as I’m on my own in CA for training and have my evenings to myself!!
And if you’re from LA or live there now, any suggestions on where to live that has good schools is very appreciated!! 🙂
It’s been awhile and I thought I’d tell everyone what’s been going on.
First exciting thing: I’m going Audio! I’ve been thinking about it for awhile and will tell you hesitant simply because it’s expensive. But I want to try it and after dozens of auditions on ACX, I think I’ve found the voice for Haylee and Josh’s story! Should be out in June and if it goes well, I full expect to record the entire series!
In other news I’m writing on Mark and Juliette’s story, Show Me Something. It’s by far the most emotional story I’ve written (maybe because it’s the last planned book in the series or because Mark has been there since the beginning) and I have to tell you although I love all of my leading men, Mark…wow-he’s imperfect, a little broken and a whole lot sweet and best of all…Oh wait til you read about him in the bedroom-let’s just say he’s not always shy!! 🙂 🙂
So that’s it for now. Just gotta write, write, write.
Spoiler Alert: If you haven’t finished reading Teach Me Something then abort this mission immediately and wait (or if you’re like me you’re going to peek anyways..haha)….If you have read it, do you remember that little teaser on Facebook with the photo of Calvin wrapped up where you couldn’t see him? Yeah this one….
Do you want to see how I actually pictured Will and without the bow and wrapping paper hiding him any longer?
(**Please note, if this guy doesn’t do it for what you imagined as Will, promptly shut your eyes and back away slowly, holding onto the image you imagined**LOL)
But if he does do it for you. Here he is and you’re welcome! 🙂
Teach Me Something is now LIVE!! Hope you enjoy Catherine’s story and finding out who her mystery man is!!
I’m working hard on the next installment due out later this year, Show Me Something! Can’t wait!
Love, Aubrey
I have a date, I have a date….Teach Me Something (Catherine’s story with her mystery man) will be released on February 9th!
Below is the blurb as well as the pre-order links!
Catherine Davenport is successful in her career, but doesn’t have the same skill when it comes to her love life. After a painful divorce,
she’s finding the new world of dating both intimidating and frustrating.
Tired of striking out, she takes the extreme measure of enlisting the help of an instructor in a private club who offers sessions on how to improve
her dating strategy as well as her overall sexual confidence.
‘Calvin’, the masked man with the piercing blue eyes and husky voice not only challenges her to step out of her comfort zone, but encourages her to unlock her
repressed adventurous side with various lessons.
She feels like she’s making progress until her worlds collide and the identity of the man privy to her most intimate details is shockingly revealed as someone she knows.
Can Catherine put her insecurities aside to take a chance on love where she least expected it? Or will her past interfere with her ability to plan a future with the one
man who truly knows the real her.

Who me? Yes me…You see I’m finishing up Teach Me Something, but I’ve had the cover for some time and just couldn’t wait another day to share it! So here it is! Catherine’s story is coming in early 2017!
I’m so very excited to announce that I’m now selling signed copies of my paperbacks and with every purchase you’ll receive this darling shoe bag (get it?-shoes-my theme of the book covers-yeah, there go all my clever points for the year-ha).
I’ve also been educated on what bookplates are (think signed stickers that you can affix to the inside of the books) because unfortunately international shipping is so high. So I have those as an alternative and I have them in groups of 5 because there will eventually be the five books in the Something Series.
All prices are inclusive of shipping costs. Please note this is not the Pre-order form for Author events. If you wish to pre-order for an upcoming signing event, please use this link instead: Pre-order form for upcoming book signings
Now I’m back to writing book #4, Teach Me Something!
Much love!

I do love the summer, even though it can be so very hot and humid here on the East Coast, but there’s a very big reason why book sales go down during the summer months…because we’re all very busy-distracted with longer days and more activities. The kids are out of school, vacations are taken, get togethers, family visiting and in my case swim lessons and lots of pool time. I love it, BUT it also means less time for writing. Let’s face it winter time and dreary days are much more conducive towards staying indoors and on your computer all day long!
That being said Catherine’s story is about half way done and coming along nicely and with Fall approaching I’m confident I’ll have a little more time to get it over the finish line!
But here’s the other distraction which I know is a good problem to have, but other characters have taken root in my head and won’t leave me alone! No, not even for this series, just completely random stories that I tried to sweep to the side and carry on, but they wouldn’t leave me alone. So I took a couple of days and frantically typed out 25K words on one and 10K words on another to just get it out of my head so that I could carry on. I literally typed until 4am last weekend with my hands aching to get it all out…I absolutely LOVE my Something series, but clearly my brain is anxious to do a couple of stand alone books afterwards!
Hope everyone else is having a great summer! Bring on the Fall!

You know the one. The one you get after you read a really great book and can’t move on from it. Well it’s the same for authors, at least it is for me. It’s happened after each of them where I think, “oh my goodness, how can I possibly top that?” Plus there’s the fact that during release week, I’m completely distracted. How can I not be…Tell Me Something has been doing AMAZING on the FREE charts over the last 5 days…Ask Me Something has a huge increase from those that enjoyed the first one enough to move on and the reviews are coming in for Bet Me Something….so yeah…big time distraction!
Now I know why some authors take a vacation during a release week, so that they are distracted from the distraction…and not obsessing over stats and posts, etc…I also know there is a very big need to unplug…meaning-gasp-no internet. Yep..I’m going to try to go dark the week after next where I take five days off my day job to concentrate on the next book…I’ve started, but really need to focus.
That’s right, Teach Me Something is next with Catherine’s story and I can’t wait for you all to find out who her romantic interest is…..
Until then, I hope you’re enjoying Bet Me Something as much as I did writing it!!
Much love!!
